Título: Análise de desempenho de códigos corretores de erros em redes de sensores sem fio para aplicações em Smart Grid
Abstract: The imbalance between generation and energy demand, equipment failures
and the lack of efficient monitoring and control techniques indicate that it is time to
take steps toward a better integration with communication and control systems. The
Smart Grid technology is characterized by its two-way communication, monitoring,
sensoring and control infrastructure, and integration with renewable energy and
distributed centers of energy generation. Associated to it there is the Wireless Sensor
Networks (WSN), a key technology in the modernization process of the existing
Power Grid, with their low-cost deployment and flexibility. However, the Smart Grid
and WSN communication channel is affected by hostile environmental conditions,
interference, connectivity issues and dynamic topology changes, and so it is
indispensable the utilization of error correction control to assure reliability in the data
transmission. In this work, two error control codes were studied, Reed-Solomon (RS)
and Low Density Parity Check (LDPC), applied to a Wireless Sensor Network with
three sensor nodes, and different transmission routes. It was attested that is more
efficient to send data packets through multiple nodes and short distances than for
longer distances. It was also verified that the LDPC code had a better performance
considering bit error rates than the Reed-Solomon code and an uncoded packet.
Finally, a few comments are made based on the results for some Smart Grid

Abstract: The computational system developed in this paper demonstrates the possibility of obtaining information during teaching sessions through the use of discrete trial teaching (DTT) in the context of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) applied to people with ADD. Autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or other developmental disorder, is more quickly and efficiently compared to how it is applied by other means, such as paper forms. Enabling not only agility in the application but also support the therapist in making decisions about what to do so that the person will achieve the best results through the treatment of information obtained. Using prototyping modules, online databases, and mobile application development, we obtained the first version of the solution, which is capable of receiving and storing data, as well as processing such data, and through graphs, presenting them to the user.

Abstract: In order to choose a photovoltaic system with the lowest possible time of return on investment (payback) coupled with a possible use of the new tariff modality established by the National Electric Energy Agency, called white tariff, this work appears. Through the elaboration of three scenarios in which in the first case, the residential consumer chooses the conventional tariff combined with an on-grid photovoltaic system, in the second case chooses to change the conventional tariff to white combined with an on-grid system and finally uses the white tariff with an off-grid system, which only meets the demand for intermediate and peak energy consumption. Through economic indicators such as NPV (Net Present Value) and payback, it was possible to estimate the amounts possibly saved and how long it took the implementation of photovoltaic systems to give rise to a return or show that there was no return to the consumer. Título: Análise comparativa entre predição e medidas reais de cobertura de sinal de TV digital em Macapá/AP
Abstract: The arrival of digital television (TVD) was accompanied by a major challenge in it’s implementation: the difficulty of guaranteeing service in an entire area that analogue broadcasters served. Because of this, the television entities aim to comply with the legal requirements of their transmissions, as well as the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel), in which it exercises the role of supervising the service of most of the location where the transmitting station is located. Justified by the social importance that TV plays in Brazilian society, this work aims to carry out a comparative analysis between real field measurements of the coverage area of TV Equinócio, affiliated with Rede Record in Macapá-AP, with coverage predictions obtained through a software and a mathematical model. To generate as predictions, an ITU-R P.1546-5 propagation model was used, described in the step by step of ANNEX A, in addition to the ICS Telecom software, which deals with an Anatel tool aimed at broadcasting services. Thus, with the aid of a spectrum analyzer and an antenna, it was possible to collect the real power values, in dBµV/m, of the signal transmitted in several points in the urban area of the municipality and in some more distant points. The results presented show that the predictions, of the software and of the model, have the same behavior as that verified in the field, presenting satisfactory results and proving the effectiveness of these models, in addition to the reliability of software and programs designed to predict coverage of Digital TV, as well as other applications in Telecommunications0008-08-12T00:00:00Z
