Título: UNIENEM: experiências produzidas por jovens negros do pré-vestibular social da Universidade Federal do Amapá (2016-2019)
Abstract: The agenda of affirmative actions and public policies has gradually occupied more space in research in Brazil,
but it still needs to be deepened and worked on its characteristics, since it has its particularities as it goes along
and is crossed by political, social, economic and cultural components and may jeopardize the advances
historically recognized by the black population and, consequently, entry into public higher education. The
present work aims to understand the experiences produced by young black people who studied at UNIENEM, a
social pre-university entrance exam at the Federal University of Amapá-UNIFAP. The general objective is to
investigate the experiences (based on the concept of François Dubet) produced by black students at UNIENEM
between 2016 and 2019 and to understand their expectations regarding access to university. This objective
unfolds in the following specific objectives: to analyze the experiences and expectations of young black people
from the social relations established in the context of UNIENEM; understand the meanings from the lived
experience constructed by young black people from UNIENEM; and to relate the importance of UNIENEM and
the existence of affirmative institutional policies at UNIFAP as possibilities for continuity of educational training
processes for black youth. For that, a qualitative methodology and research procedures and analyzes were used
guided by the bibliographic review and analysis and discussion of data collected through 13 semi-structured
interviews. The research work concluded that UNIENEM contributes, insofar as it enables social mobility and
preparation for entry into higher education for black youth in Amapá.2022-01-01T00:00:00Z
