Revitalização urbanística e arquitetônica do antigo matadouro municipal da Fazendinha, Macapá–AP

Abstract

The process of revitalizing idle spaces is of utmost importance for urban development, since the negative consequences that these abandoned areas bring to the urban environment, such as: insecurity, illicit activities, devaluation of the environment, among others. The spaces revitalized since they meet the demands of the population in general add value to the revitalized area and its surroundings. The present work presents an alternative of a new use for the currently idle space of the Old Fazendinha Municipal Slaughterhouse, which since the closure of its activities bring disorders to the population that lives in the neighborhood, since the abandoned building attracts crime, venomous animals and the devaluation of the environment. The collaboration of this work focuses on the importance of the benefits that these revitalized areas bring to the population. The methodology used consisted of the elaboration of theoretical reference covering the themes of urban spaces, urban voids, urban revitalization, markets and free fairs. In the analytical reference, the architectural examples of Markets and revitalizations of old slaughterhouses were explored, to obtain the projective base that helps in the elaboration of the proposal. During the on-site surveys, photographic surveys of the existing building were carried out and forms were applied to the residents of the neighborhood, with the purpose of collecting population data for public equipment, diagnosed in the study area, it was possible to plan an architectural and urbanistic proposal for the former Slaughterhouse of Fazendinha, that took care of the social, economic and cultural aspects, according to the specificities of the local community, in this way the Complex Paxicú was idealized.
