Resumo

This research proposed an analysis of the experiences, claims and protagonism of the Palikur people in the museological space called Museu Sacaca. Since 2002, these people, who live in borderlands, have established collaborative relationships in this museum space, in what concerns the strengthening of their culture, their memories and their identity. Based on these information, as a final product of this study, a pedagogical booklet about the Palikur people was elaborated, a material that will foment the research, communication and diffusion of this ethnic group in this space. This booklet will be indicated to teachers and students from public and private schools who are interested in indigenous subjects. A supplement containing suggestions of pedagogical activities for elementary school students will be added. The research material was obtained in three distinct ways: (a) research and bibliographic survey on the Palikur people, referring to cultural and social aspects, analysis of documental data on the history of the Museu Sacaca, analysis of the photographic collection on the first houses built bythe indigenous people in the museum, (b) the second stage was the ethnographic field research, carried out in 2019, when it was possible to observe the construction of the Palikur indigenous house, in the open-air exhibition area of the Museu Sacaca. During the field research, the representatives of the indigenous peoples were interviewed, when it was possible to collect information about the importance of this space for them and the meaning of this action within the museum, material that will be explored in this work; (c) the third stage of the research was the follow-up of the act of handing over the indigenous houses to the Museu Sacaca, in August 2019, made through a cultural event called "Festa dos Povos" (Festival of the Peoples). In view of this, the pedagogical booklet will be divided into four sections: the first, a dialogue on the concepts of borders, territory and territorialities; in the second section, we will get to know the cultural diversity of the territory of the Museu Sacaca and the collaborative relationship with the Palikur people in the setting up of the “Exposição Permanente a Céu Aberto” (Permanent Open-air Exhibition); in the third, the meanings of the museum for the indigenous and the description of the construction of the Palikur house, held in 2019. And finally, in the fourth section, the experiences, cultural actions and perspectives of the indigenous people in relation to the Museu Sacaca and the state of Amapá.
