Operações Mãos Limpas: uma análise ética

Abstract

The lack of ethical and moral principles is a problem of the political class in any country and has as consequence the corruption, and when denounced generate great impact in society which leads to degradation of political institution and State. In this context, this study aimed to make an ethical analysis of Operação Mãos Limpas, occurred in Amapá, in 2010. Research was based on bibliographic data, scientific and legal documents, which had as their basis the principles: ethical, moral and political. We give special emphasis to the authors Vasquez (1995) and Bittar (2002). Through quantitative and qualitative analysis, we get interviews in the population in general terms, as well as opinion leaders, such as lawyers, journalists, politicians, teachers and graduation students from Macapá, who led the research development. The results show that the lack of ethical and moral principles bring precariousness to the state and great consequences for society, and because of these and other factors triggered to Operação Mãos Limpas which had great importance to combating corruption and gave new directions to the elections in 2010.
