Resumo
The purpose of the article is to know and describe the idea of quality in Early Childhood Education, across the documents published by the Ministry of Education and Culture - MEC: National Quality Parameters for Early Childhood Education volumes 1 and 2 (BRAZIL, 2006), National Parameters of Quality of Early Childhood Education (BRASIL, 2018) and the Indicators of Quality in Early Childhood Education (BRASIL, 2009), to answer the research problem: Is quality in Early Childhood Education, according to official documents, possible? This is supported on the method of qualitative research approach and on procedures, is characterized by bibliographical research,
and documentary research. In order to define quality in Child Education in a
coherent way, it is necessary to take into account the context in which the
institution is inserted. And, as an outcome of this research there is a need to
study and deepen educational policies regarding the quality of Early
Childhood Education so that nursery and preschool can offer better
conditions of attendance.
