Entre a tradição e a modernidade: um estudo antropológico sobre as mudanças sociais na comunidade do Maruanum

Abstract

The present work it is an anthropological research in Maruanum District, city of Macapa, State of Amapa, Brazil. The study was delimited to the community of Carmel Maruanum belonging to said district. It is considered that such research is needed in regard to the detailed description of traditional communities and their changes in the cultural and social caused by internal factors and external factors such as the inclusion of the apparatus of modernity represented by new technologies (internet, television, mobile). The instrument and data analysis were: references, participant observation, use of field diary, photographic records, interviews and informal conversations. The results obtained through the analyzes and interpretations of everyday maruanense found the occurrence of the generation gap between the older and young people, the first excel in preserving the habits and cultural tradition, since the latter have the focus to new musical styles fashions, disregarding the customs practiced by their predecessors, and its cultural context. The importance of this anthropological study focuses on demonstrating how the modern elements are affecting communities simply the state of Amapá, and how your objects bring changes to these communities likewise aims to enrich the work on the line connected to the anthropological culture site.
