Silêncios que falam, palavras que nada explicam: as narrativas históricas comparadas sobre a questão do Amapá

Abstract

The theme of this dissertation is the Question of Amapá, a historical event that occurs from the first contacts between Portuguese and French in the Oiapoque region in the 16th century, and tensions and strains develop in later centuries until the international arbitration decision in favor of Brazil in the year of 1902. This work aims to present the comparative historical narratives on the Questão do Amapá through the conjunctions and contradictions in academic and didactic supports. The methodology of the work is based on the comparative method in history, where it analyzes the possibilities of characteristics of the historical languages. The hypothesis is that historical narratives may present the characteristics of archetype, stereotype, silence, and forgetfulness. The first result is that the academic narratives deny the scientific theoretical model of this text, since they reveal the concern to value historical personages marginalized, silenced and forgotten by the historiography before the 21st century. The second result is that didactic narratives, subdivided in didactic books and paradidical, confirm the theoretical theoretical model of this dissertation, since they are characterized by the acceptability of the archetype, stereotype, silence and forgetfulness. In this way, the conclusion is that comparative historical narratives are heterodox, diverse and plural, making possible the use of different historical languages in History Teaching
