Resumo
In this study, a bibliographical review about the role of the Pedagogue in the Hospital Toy-Libraries is presented. Initially, a search was made for descriptors related to the subject in indexed databases in CAPES, in order to understand how this idea has been discussed during the last six years. Then, we sought to analyze and describe the work of the Pedagogue in the Hospital Toy-Libraries, together with the multiprofessional health team, with children in a context of physical and emotional vulnerability. For this, the bibliographic review methodology was used, through articles selected through the databases: Scielo, Lilacs and Bireme, and as well as, the qualitative and descriptive tendency. The results indicate that the sick infant needs to continue to develop, despite being hospitalized. The importance of play in hospitals is already recognized by families of the sick child, as well as professionals involved in pediatric care, who already use this resource in their practices, however, present some difficulties in meeting other needs of the sick infant, which are not only clinics. In this way, it can be concluded that the Hospital Toy-Libraries constitute an indispensable space for the global development of sick children, and that the Pedagogue needs to be part of the multi professional team involved in pediatric care, since this professional may be developing a care that meets the different needs presented by the sick child. Thus Contributing to the recovery of her health.
