Arquitetura & Cinema: proposta para a criação de um centro cultural audiovisual em Macapá, Amapá

Abstract

This essay presents an architectural Project proposal to be inserted in the city of Macapá-AP, where despite the Market potential and the existence of independent movements of production and democracy to the access to audio-visual, there are no big incentives for the practice of audio-visual activities, nor is there any offer of vocational courses on the area. In this context, a scientific research has been accomplished which made use of data collected though historical analysis referring to the production and access to cinema in Brazil and in Macapá, also it’s been observed the creation of culture centers in the Brazilian context and worldwide. Also, case studies have been used, with the intent of identifying examples of cultural centers that exist in Brazil and internationally, and through that, identify means by those models provide access to culture, with emphasis on the access to audio-visual. Besides that, it’s been desired to find support on Brazilian law, which may encourage the cultural activity. With that, it’s been proposed the creation of an audio-visual culture center in the city, with the intent of promoting, through this center, more information, more discussion and means for exposure referring to the highlighted theme. Based on this, it has been projected a space which brings together environments such as cinema room, photo studio, multipurpose room, multimedia laboratory and cinematheque, which generate opportunity for the development of studies and the production of movies and photography in Macapá. The project has been inserted in the context of the northern zone of Macapá, in the neighborhood Jardim Felicidade, with access through the pathways: highway Perimetral Norte, João Paulo de Souza street and Sandoval Almeida Sandim avenue. Thhis site was chosen with the intent of offering options of culture and recreation in a region that is farther from downtown, where most of existing cinemas are located in the city as in the year of 2019.
