Evasão escolar na educação de jovens e adultos: o caso do projeto SESC LER de Laranjal do Jari

Abstract

This work is the result f a research with students that escape from the EJA – young and Adults Education- teaching, in SESC Reading Project in Laranjal do Jarí/AP municipality, with the objective to understand the reason of the school evasion through the justificative of the students themselves. In this way we work with two students grups, being 10 (ten) from the Extending Horizon Sub Project which helped specifically workers students from enterprises that firmed agreement with SESC – Commerce Social Service - , and 5 (five) students without connection with the Sub Project. We took as embasement the bibliography research to contextualize EJA, after that we did a documentary research to identify the escaped students, in order to systematize through the tabular and graphic exposition the information researched, using the statistic method applied to social science, at last we made interview with this grup of students using the methodologycal approach of oral history. The result indicated 6 (six) itens as reason to the school evasion related to the researched project: 1) the difficulty in combine work with studying , 2) the family conflicts, 3) health problems, 4) castanha-do-Brasil harvest period, 5) the unemployment and 6) the distance between the project and the students home.
