O fenômeno das ocupações estudantis enquanto nova práxis democrática de cidadania

Abstract

This work seeks to foster some reflections about the new forms of social and political activism in collective action, which are expressed in student occupations. Conferring in the history of the student movement, since populism and in the military period, a class content present by the correlation of forces and in the articulation of armed struggle as a revolutionary practice of Christian youth. The reflections of youth in a cumulative resistance and political consolidation, as well as in the direct action of occupying as a protest of the student movement, is proposed as an extension of the concept of citizenship, applying itself by its democratic insurgency during occupations. In which, the meaning of this political dispute makes it more proposition, based on participation and citizen strategy as a practiced policy, because it is also realized as a tactic of conquest by social rights. As well as the emergence of a new notion of citizenship, which is intrinsically linked to the concrete experiences of the new social movements of identity agendas, we observe what gives meaning to the new praxis of a new political culture, where it articulates political subjects and presents meanings of real social transformations. Thinking that the collective action of occupying is a phenomenon of contemporary activism, which presents itself in a decentralized organized way as an insurgent tendency to occupy, and resist, and produce in the spaces and situations of power, coming to resignify the notion of citizenship of the prevailing democracy. It is perceived that the conjuncture of the movement of student occupations sometimes occurs permeated by experiences by the social-political-cultural dimensions, which allied with a militant capital led by the young student occupants, there is a cumulative crossing of learning and experiences. The methodological procedures possible for the study follow analysis from the concepts addressed, among other bibliographic references cited, as well as in the discussion itself and in the social dynamics.
