Proposta de parque linear urbano para o entorno do canal do Beirol

Abstract

The injuries to the environment began to produce undesirable effects for all humanity. After that, a new consciousness was formed: preserving nature to save the human race. In the city of Macapá, due to intense human disturbance of areas called "Ressacas", the risk of flooding is becoming imminent because of the strong influence of the rivers in the city life and its high rainfall indices. The opening and the dredging of urban rivers is an important measure in an effort to prevent flooding. The creation of a linear urban park surrounding the Canal of Beirol, seeks to provide the security that residents lost due to the constant disorders posed by infrastructure deficit on site. Looking to improve city life, saving a conservation area, protecting the society that lives around the canal, bringing a recreational alternative for all citizens and promoting the occupation of an empty public space.
