Trabalho infanto-juvenil doméstico: a dádiva entre famílias de Afuá (PA) e Macapá (AP).

Abstract

The study examines the cultural aspect of domestic work performed by adolescents who migrate from city of Afuá, Pará, to the city of Macapá, Amapá. Through this we believe will contribute to a significant expansion in the understanding of this reality, which tends to look at legal and sociological understand this phenomenon as a reality only on the margins of legality. As a method, we used the life history of the actors involved gathered through interviews. Through them and the analysis of social networks detected the presence of the gift in these relations, which largely are based on ties of kinship, friendship and patronage. Moreover, these cases also indicate the ideological and sacrifice present in their reciprocal relations and the subtle explorations to which this labor juvenile can be placed. Therefore, we believe that analysis on a personal level of domestic child labor can produce new results on the subject, helping to unravel the universe's regional phenomenon.
