Criar e recriar a arquitetura para preservação patrimonial: proposta de intervenção para o Centro Cândido Portinari

Abstract

The objective of this research was to propose a project for a teaching and culture center, focused on educating and diffusing of artistic practices. The essence of this work was to reflect on how the architectural interventions in buildings of cultural interest are approached, using the building of the Cândido Portinari School, and fulfill our objective we also studied the reuse of a building considered common, without requiring its demolition. Thus, our project materializes from the intervention and integration of the Candido Portinari building and the neighboring building, belonging to the Department of State Tax Collection, both located in the Central neighborhood of Macapá city. The relevance of the work is to research and present how it could be an appropriate environment for artistic education, which meets the needs of the school community of the Cândido Portinari Teaching Center, as well as to reflect on the institution's socio-cultural function and the preservation of the architectural heritage for the macapaense population. Therefore, from research and data collection we seek to develop a project that highlights the importance of artistic education accessible to all.
