Entre afetos e memórias: olhares sobre a minha infância ribeirinha

Abstract

The research arises from the investigation carried out during the Scientific Initiation program (CAPS scholarship), where, through the idea of 'maps as narrative' (photographs and conversations with family members), I developed reflections on my childhood living by the river and its connections to my training as a Theater teacher. In this work, I analyze the scenic installation 'Afetos kubumkubu,' which is an extension of the aforementioned research, but with a focus on artistic practices. Methodology: This is qualitative research of a (self-)biographical nature, based on diaries, interviews with family members, and the creation of a scenic installation. The research yielded the following results: the creation of a memory diary; identification of childhood by the river as the aesthetic and conceptual element; artistic installation. The considerations given about other people engaging with my life stories, reviewing my role as a theater teacher to also understand my role as an artist, and delving deeper into Afro indigenous references that help me better understand my riverside roots, in order to establish connections between this childhood and theater.
