Abstract

The urbanization in the countries that constituted the third world, occurred, and continues to occur in an accelerated way, on the other hand the third-world national states still have no housing policies in scale and with the strategies that can accompany this phenomenon, that in these countries is given, in big part, as precarious settlements and housing with a high degree of unhealthiness, this way the role of the architect-urbanist becomes a great responsibility to change the urban-housing panorama of the underdeveloped or developing world, so the architec-urbanist can propose solutions and strategies, suitable to each region to solve a global problem.
