Expectativas sociais da sociedade urbana de Ferreira Gomes sobre implantação da UHE

Abstract

This study aims to identify the habitants of the urban area of the municipality of Ferreira Gomes and analyze what the positive and negative social expectations regarding the impacts from the implementation phase of HPP Ferreira Gomes. What the community will feel during the installation of HPP, located on the river Araguari in order to generate energy, its capacity is 252 MW / h (megawatts), with assured energy of 1,850.2 average MW (average megawatts). The research methodology is descriptive, field, with qualitative approach carried out through content analysis, interviews were systematized through semi-structured questionnaire applied to residents of the municipality of Ferreira Gomes (AP), these people who had direct contact and indirectly with the project (qualified partners such as fishermen, farmers, Self-employed, public officials, students, property owners Commercial and Public Managers Ferreira Gomes). Environmental and social impacts that were seized in this study, such as fish kills, is one of the constant themes discoursed by county residents. Another issue cited are the socioeconomic and environmental damage such as deforestation around the venture, another type, purpose of the work, studied impacts are impacts of social, impacts such as population swelling, increased violence, use of alcohol and drugs, the rising cost of living as rent, lack of partnership between the state and local government to mitigate the impacts caused by the project and also monitor the implementation of the proposed projects and actions in the conditions.
