Resumo
Currently, studies on urban communities with a different morphology, such as slums, are gaining ground for debate in academic productions. For this reason, this work inserts in this space of debate the city of Laranjal do Jari, located in the south of the state of Amapá, in particular the stilt-built neighborhoods that gave rise to the city. This amphibious community, which shares the space of the Jari river floodplain, with its routine and interweaving of its landscape with cultural symbols of resistance, has precarious urban infrastructure and public services, a similar characteristic among favelas. We aim to collaborate for development as freedom, defended by Sen (2010), through an urban equipment project that can serve the residents of these neighborhoods as an instrument to enhance their collective actions. To achieve this objective, the methodology was made of an investigative nature, through the collection and analysis of data in bibliography, field visits, application of structured and semi-structured questionnaires, as well as the review of urban legislation in the city. The result presented is the conception of an architectural project linked to public equipment following the concept of cooperative space with itinerant, educational and cultural uses.
