Educação e relações raciais na Escola Estadual Azevedo Costa: problematizando com a lei 10.639/03

Abstract

This article aims to understand how the State School General Azevedo Costa develops the pedagogical practice regarding the enforcement of Law 10.639 / 03 with its elementary school teachers. In dealing with an exploratory research with the accomplishment of bibliographical analysis of the main works that deal with the subject and regarding the objectives was explanatory since it tried to explain the relation cause effect of the applicability of the law, finally the field work with the interviews scripts for the study. In this context, we used theoretical contributions with alternate views of the authors to mark the analysis that served as contribution of social reality, in which it was verified that the law is not applied and sometimes is unknown by the teachers, besides being reduced to celebrations symbolic on a particular date as a way of enforcing such law.
