Resumo

This study analyzes the use of sports arenas in the city of Macapa ( AP ) by the population of the neighborhoods of Brasil Novo, Trem e Zerão, which have the predominant sports practice football. Football is a sport that was originally practiced by an elite in the country and has become more popular to the point of being called "football country" today. Element of socialization that aggregates, mainly the poorest around the traditional "peladas" off the masses, football is played in "campinhos" improvised on vacant lots or in arenas built by the government, which are delivered to the Associations of neighborhoods or Associations connected with football, which gives an almost exclusively for the use of arenas and at the same time, paralyzes other possibilities for sports. Based on literature and field research plus the aforementioned neighborhoods, one reaches the conclusion that the constructed spaces, arenas, enclaves are deployed by the state to carry out public policies argue that sport and inclusion, but are left to their own devices unfeasible and the actual development of sports in Amapá.
