Projeto “Parque da Vizinhança”: proposta urbanística e paisagística para integração entre o conjunto Mônaco e o bairro Pedrinhas

Abstract

The study entitled "Neighborhood Park Project" aims to propose an urban and architectural space for the area present in the Monaco residential complex comprising part of the hangover belonging to the pebble’s neighborhood. The name "Integration Park" was applied based on the principle that there is a need for the union of spaces, in order to obtain a better social and urban integration between the residents of the Monaco complex and its surroundings, in the current context in which they live. This problem arises with the growth of the city from the twentieth century, generating, for example, the growing social exclusion. This process is accelerating because people are looking more and more for private spaces for housing and leisure, as an ideal of quality of life and security. The study was developed with mainly qualitative methods, through visits and in loco observation and bibliographical references. Thus, the study discusses the landscape design and urban design, architecture and landscape design as a way to solve this problem. Thus, the study proposes as a project the integration of free areas belonging to the whole and the avenue of Monaco, linking these to its surroundings, with an urban park, destined to the free accessibility and to social, contemplative and leisure activities, as bias for the conciliation between the conflict between public and private space in the city of the 21st century.
