Centro de reabilitação psicomotora: arquitetura em função da reabilitação física, sensorial e psicológica

Abstract

Concern for the welfare of users of institutions that turn to health care is also the role of architecture. If a priori responsibility for patient recovery rests with specialized health institutions and their professionals who should provide patients with physical, sensory and mental recovery, associated with social reintegration, stimulation of autonomy of locomotion, and establishment of safety in the performance of daily activities; it is undeniable the importance of the individual-space relationship and, therefore, the design of this space that can act as a catalyst for patient reestablishment. The design challenge posed by the therapeutic spaces is so much in the need of thinking functional spaces so that the professionals get to be resourceful in the procedures to be performed, as well as in the need to think spaces capable of accommodating a multiplicity of bodies and ways of experiencing space with security and guaranteeing autonomy of locomotion, in addition the space must still be thought of as a place of comfort, well-being and healing. The quality of the architectural design may be directly related to patient recovery. It is in this sense that this work proposes to develop an architectural project of a rehabilitation center that uses humanization and is concerned with the environment relations with its users. For that, a study was made of the basic concepts of environmental psychology, ambiance and psychomotricity, and how they are established in the architecture together with the recognition of the guidelines established by the Ministry of Health and the study of referential cases of rehabilitation centers. Starting with the recognition of what the architecture can do in relation to the therapeutic process, the conception of the concept and party of the proposal of the rehabilitation center for the northern zone of Macapá, thinking so that it is a place of support and rehabilitative care, outpatient and recreational. The architectural object will be based on all the analyzes made in this monograph.
