Resumo
Chagas disease is one of the consequences of human infection caused by Trypanosoma cruzi, a Protozoary, whose life cycle includes the obligatory passage for several mammalian hosts, which is transmitted by the insect vector, the Barber. Even with advances in disease control in endemic countries, remains as a morbid process relevant to public health. On the occurrence of the disease there are two clinical stages: an acute, which may or may not be identified and may develop into a chronic phase. In the 21 endemic countries consist of between 12 and 14 million individuals infected, with an annual incidence of up to 200.000 cases and thousands deaths, mainly in Latin America. In the State of Amapá, in Brazil, between the years 2005 and 2010, were confirmed 116 cases of DCA, and oral transmission responsible for most cases. Identify if it is possible that contamination of food occurs by existing vectors in the State of Amapá in Brazil, so the vector or oral and whether the man, oral transmission occurs only by consumption of Acai juice in natura or also by eating meat of silvact animals is vital for achieving the control of disease. Therefore, considering the scarcity of studies related to the entomological and epidemiological survey of Triatominae of Chagas disease in the State of Amapá in Brazil, this work aims at the identification of the mode of transmission and distribution of Chagas disease in acute as well as collecting and identification of Triatominae. Over the course of 2011 were collected only two samples of Triatominae, which were infected by parasites like the T. cruzi. Were confirmed 14 cases of the disease in its acute form in the State with the occurrence of 01 (one) death. All cases were closed by the Division of Epidemiology of oral transmission by ingestion of Acai in natura. This way the inspections should be strengthened, where açai renders the fruit, in order to avoid contamination of food and stay alert for vector transmission that becomes possible due to the Entomological findings
