Identificação de sintomas psicopatológicos em escolares de 06 a 12 anos e fatores relacionados

Abstract

Historically the attention to public health to the child-youth group has been and is still quite neglected. The reduced number of publications in our country on mental health problems in childhood and adolescence and on the use of services by this population has evidenced this fact. So, in order to know more about this phenomenon, this research was developed. This research was carried out in three public schools, located in the city of Macapá-Ap, using the EISPE (scale of identification of psychopathological symptoms in schoolchildren), as a methodology was used the quantitative and qualitative approaches, were interviewed 201 children in total aged 6 to 12 years.. Each item contained in the scale was analyzed taking into account the factors associated with the mental health of the child. The results obtained with the quantitative data show that of the 201 children interviewed, none of them scored on the scale in a range that shows a significant mental health problem, but it is worth mentioning that when analyzing the qualitative data, we verified that some children are exposed to factors that may compromise their healthy mental development, these data also showed that children are actively involved in the relationships and problems between their families and their social circle, absorbing those impacts that should be less relevant to the life of a child, family health problems , socioeconomic problems of the family, provocations by their colleagues, are factors evidenced in this research and showed that they are affecting the children. Finally, there should be a closer look at the bodies, services and professionals that are linked to this age group, always promoting new ways for children to have access to important information, specialized mental health services and a healthy physical and mental development , because if we take good care of children now in the future they will form a better and healthier society.
