Abstract

Considering the relevance of scientific knowledge produced in the Federal Institutions of Higher Education - IFES, the Institutional Repository - R I has the role of boosting technological development and innovation, contributing to the production of knowledge, research and expanding access to the intellectual production of IFES. The RI Implementation Guidelines Guide acts as an instrument for political action and assumes an important role in the discussion on copyright and impacts on science and technology and proposes better coordination of processes and actions that support the effective management of digital information. Institutional Repositories deal with the scientific production of a particular research institution. Which includes innovation in the collection and access to information. The Repositories store files of different formats and are considered an innovation in the management of digital objects within the Information Units.
