A potencialização do sentido de lugar: intervenções pontuais nos espaços públicos da região central de Macapá

Abstract

The presence of people in the public spaces of the city provides vitality to urban environments, the reasons for staying in them are diverse, but when individuals recognize the physical space as a "place" these environments become more lively and stimulating places, such notion is best assimilated when these spaces present good physical characteristics of layout, volume and design to diminish the physical and spatial monotony, resulting in a more complex and rich place in the physical sphere and social sphere. Therefore, this work aims to elaborate a proposal of urban project for the inhabitants of Macapá with the purpose of potentializing the "sense of place", based on the concept of TUAN (1983), with the intention of making possible good experiences in the spaces of intervention, located in the section of the central neighborhood, the strategies are small scale and consist of the physical physical qualification, introducing the arts and appropriating the gastronomy to re / produce a network of places in a short distance to walk on . The research method was the deductive one, aiming to explain the factual content of the information, that is, the premises from the observation of the phenomena; the data collection techniques were the bibliographic research, the in locu study and the interview to ascertain the physical and spatial condition of the intervention areas and also to understand the specificities of the people that use such spaces. At the end of this work it was possible to reach the objectives established by the research, however, despite the positive suggestions for the intervention environments, such initiatives were not enough to repair all their needs and deficiencies in the area of study, because such subjective or not are beyond this design exercise.
