Exploração mineral, relações de trabalho e migração no município de Pedra Branca do Amapari-AP

Abstract

This article is an analysis of the social and economic consequences that the new mining cycle initiated in the state of Amapá generated and is generating for the municipality of Pedra Branca do Amapari (PBA), especially the migration process and the new labor relations established the city as effects caused by the activity of ore mining in PBA. Therefore, we seek from the point of analysis in mineral exploration PBA is integral to the process of regional occupation and exploitation of the Amazon and, therefore, can not be analyzed only from the point of view of the historical, social and economic Amapá, but as part of the historical process of colonization of the region that followed over the centuries, different economic models and forms of intervention.
