Resumo

The present work focused on the following question: is there possibility of preservation of the environment, via forestation and reuse of materials characteristically reusable? In coherence, the following objective was formulated: contribute to the preservation of the environment through afforestation and the reuse of automobile tires in the central roadbed of the Josmar Chaves Pinto Highway. For the methodology, it will follow a field research, whose approach will be qualitative and, as planned, hypothetical-deductive. The planned method aims to reach high school students of the State School Jacinta Maria Rodrigues de Carvalho, estimating to provoke in the student the observation of the environment and its nuances, such as the obligation of its preservation, typical existing impacts, illegalities by human action; reflection, responsibility, cultivation concerning the legacy to be left to future generations; assimilation of the practice of reuse as unequivocal social exercise for the success of a full healthy environment; and encourage social development, using, for this, the applicability of the Environmental Education project that will result from the research presented here. The results showed that environmental education is an area capable of subsidizing the contextualization of chemistry teaching to the current environmental reality, in order to contribute to the formation of conscious subjects, committed citizens who know their environmental reality and contribute to their respective social welfare. Therefore, it is possible to conclude that, environmental education yes! In all levels of education, necessary in the fight for the preservation of a common good for all
