O Parque das Samaúmas: uma proposta de ecourbanismo na Amazônia

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of Santana Island District in accordance with the master plans and architectural and urban nature of documents from 1950 to 2010. The public managers of Santana City have shown interest in relation to urbanization projects for Santana especially after the promulgation of the management plan which was strategically very important for the economy of the municipality, not only tourism, but with export of grain and products developed by local family farming. The disorderly occupation, lack of infrastructure, deficient sanitation, among other problems make possible the need for further studies on the planning and for this perimeter which attests to the relevance of this work. For this, we consulted several authors that address the ecourbanist theme developed in this research, as well as Brazilian authors who added much to the regional theme, as Mario Severiano Porto and Dula Lima. Regarding methodology, this research sets as qualitative and quantitative, with literature and empirical data collection on the perimeter in question, using some equipment such as digital camera, illustrative sketches, measuring tape to measure the intervention object elements and computer. The results show that the plans built to urbanize, not only in the studied perimeter, but in every city of Santana were poor in using society's participation in its construction and operation process. The urban and architectural proposal in this research is aimed at qualification of infrastructure focused perimeter, with the creation of a linear park called Green Axis for research and leisure, where the main sights of the island of Santana will be strengthened and valued, as well as buildings Grove School and squashes Factory.
