Ambiente da conexão em rede: aldeia manga em busca da inserção tecnológica como desenvolvimento comunitário e a figura indígena inserida no desenvolvimento tecnológico

Abstract

As we know, the Internet has become an important instrument of communication and diffusion of knowledge. Based on these aspects, it is possible to observe cyberculture as a means capable of integrating the indigenous people in the network connection and also to develop inclusion activities, because some indigenous communities are left out of the virtual environment, as is the case of the Manga village, located in the territorial area of the municipality of Oiapoque. These indigenous people of the village want to have access to the Internet, because they see benefits related to education and cultural diffusion. However, the values and the power that involve culture on the internet represent them to the other segments of society do not use their own indigenous culture as a symbolic reference and, thus, without opening possibilities to create their communications.
