Resumo

This course completion work was carried out with 5 chemistry teachers from public schools in the state of Amapá in the following municipalities: Pedra Branca do Amaparí, Porto Grande, Amapá, Tartarugalzinho and Santana, with the objective of identifying the main challenges faced in teaching Chemistry during the COVID-19 Pandemic; to investigate which contents teachers had more difficulties in approaching students in remote teaching and the teaching methodologies used and to analyze what are the future perspectives of teachers regarding remote teaching. For this, an interview was carried out with the teachers with the support of a script and the help of the WhatsApp application, this fact was due to the schools being closed and only remote teaching being adopted. It was observed that teachers had difficulties in the use of digital information and communication technologies (TDIC's); the instability of the internet in these locations limited the adoption of differentiated methodologies in teaching chemistry and the use of printed materials were prepared by teachers for the continuation of classes. The results show that teaching chemistry was challenging for both teachers and students, as they required adaptations regarding the use of technologies and because, in most cases, they only had printed material to accompany the classes. With this, it becomes necessary to improve the teaching of chemistry, as a whole, in which teachers and students can be inserted in the teaching and learning process with confidence in the use of ICTs
