A cidade-empresa como patrimônio: um estudo sobre a transformação da vila de Serra do Navio em patrimônio nacional

Abstract

This research aims to present the historical process of transformation of the ship Serra village in national heritage. Located in the State of Amapá, Brazil, was built in 1955 to house the company's employees Industry and Trade ores - ICOMI, who worked in the exploration of manganese ore. As a strategy, we adopted a descriptive way of research, by analyzing the tipping paper of the village - the Dossier of the Sierra de Vila ship. The results of this research indicated a distortion in the original architectural design of the village. Among other things the field research, found that the arguments of the dossier to the village of tipping, have not been met effectively. In this study, we intend to contribute to further discussions around the heritage, memory and imagination in Serra do Navio are produced. Such analyzes are important for Amapá history, since there are few studies involving the assets in this area.
