Resumo
In general, the teaching of Chemistry takes place through traditional methodologies and there is no search for a relationship between the contents covered and the reality of the students. This difficulty can be minimized when working with themes that relate aspects of Science, Technology and Society. Forensic Chemistry is a theme that awakens and motivates students, as it is present in television series, computer programs, online games, among others. Thus, this work proposed the use of Forensic Chemistry as a didactic-methodological tool for education in Chemistry. The objective is to use forensic chemistry as a didactic aid tool bridging the gap between chemical knowledge and the social reality of high school students. In this way, we sought to identify chemical concepts in an interdisciplinary and contextualized way that correlates theoretical concepts with the students' experience, contextualize the teaching of chemistry through forensic experiments with alternative materials and demonstrate chemical experiments used in criminal investigation for students. from highschool. This work was divided into 3 moments. The first moment was the application of the initial questionnaire, in the second moment the fingerprint experiment was carried out, using alternative materials found in the student's daily life and in the third moment the application of the final questionnaire at the end of the class. The work put into practice showed that the teacher, when developing and using forensic chemistry
experiments in the classroom, will help the student to observe the relevance of the studied contents, interconnecting with the subjects that they will still study, encouraging to learn chemistry in a simple and effective way. The results presented in this work reveal that using forensic chemistry experimentation as an investment in learning is effective for students and extremely encouraging for learning
