Resumo
This research presents studies on the militarization of public schools in the State of Amapá. This upward movement of militarized public schools comes from this process of incorporation in the rest of the country. Amapá public schools transferred civilian management to military management through a cooperation agreement between Education and Public Security Departments. The objective was to investigate the memories of the characters involved in the implementation of the first military school in Amapá, how it impacted the school routine and the surrounding community. To this end, two research methods were used: bibliographic and field research, with five oral sources being interviewed who exposed their memories of the research process, construction and application of the military model in Macapá, more precisely, at the School State Antonio Messias. The results analyzed the approach of historical studies on the concept of region, regional and / or local as a category of historical research methodology. The aspects related to the History of Militarized Education in Brazil, in Goiás and in Amapá were also analyzed, marking the regionality of the issue and the ways to make management by the Military Police possible. Finally, the memories of the five oral sources about the first military school in Amapá were investigated and it was concluded that the memories confirm many impacts on the routine of both students, as well as teachers of elementary and high school, for cultivating values such as discipline, hierarchy and patriotism. Finally, a new educational concept for this institution that was in the traditional teaching model.
