A comunidade quilombola do Ambé: conflitos territoriais e processo de demarcação de seu território

Abstract

The study of this work is focused on relationship conflict resulting in the territorial community of Ambé, located in Macapá-ap. Ambé is a small black community which is in phase land regularization. The study has objective to put in evidence the process delimitation, demarcation and titling related ace land occupied by the quilombo, highlighting territorial conflicts, as well as the contradictions present to realization this process. Justified, so the study area, due to clarify the disputes regarding title to the land maroons, as well as conflicts within this community, arisen from the absence of relevant information about the processes of land regularization, together with the dissatisfaction of people due to lack of arguments by part of the Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform (INCRA-AP). Methodological procedures used in the study were composed of documentary research in organs public and participatory observation in community. This paper presents the conceptual approach of territorial conflicts, as well as quilombo concept, space, territory and territoriality. Showing historical aspect of geographical occupation of the Amazon, emphasizing the historical development of Amapá, demonstrating the process by which, Amapá passed since their status as a colony, to acquire status of state, particularly focusing on the process of occupation and housing for the inhabitants of the black community of Ambé, besides approach some territorial conflicts arising from the process demarcation of those land.
