Arquitetura intergeracional: estudo de uma instituição de longa permanência para idosos e creche em Macapá - AP

Abstract

Currently, the state of Amapá has only one center for the elderly, which is the “Abrigo São José de Macapá”, located in the capital. From quantitative and qualitative surveys, it was possible to realize that is not enough to supply the real need for a space to reception of those aged 60 or over. Therefore, the present monograph aims to design a Long-Term Care Institution for the Elderly (Instituto de Longa Permanência para Idosos – ILPI) in Macapá-AP, with the introduction of a second architectural typology as an alternative for social integration, psychological and physical improvements, and breaking the paradigm of abandonment in welcoming institutions. Wherefore, the proposal consists on a ILPI and Nursery that meets the number of 22 elderly and about 30 children. Using bibliographical research, documentary media, considering interview and field research, besides the use of theoretical references, the project follows accessibility parameters, seeking in the meeting of generations the improvement of quality of life and social well-being.
