Abstract

This dissertation is the result of research on the lighting inside the St. Pio of Pietrelcina and Blessed Luiz Monza Catholic Church, from its liturgy and organizing its space. It is a multidisciplinary study of religious architecture, lumínico comfort and liturgy. Starting from the field research lux acquiring data from the nave of the church for further evaluation in software. The emphasis of this work is on the lighting of the celebration space, considering the liturgy renewed by Vatican II reconciling with the standard of comfort NBR ISO / CIE 8995-1 - Lighting of work environments. The architectural design covers the functional aspects of lighting, ambiance and religious space, and the application of stage lighting inside, seek to give a symbolic mystical and functional meaning to environments. It appears that artificial lighting must meet the church's needs, in their moments of meditation, prayer, festivities and celebration, the highlight of the liturgical pieces, images and symbols, and the observation of Franciscan architecture. Thus giving rise to an architectural project of a religious complex.
