Resumo

The evolution of users' demand profile, society's demand patterns, and new technologies, both in the area of electronics and construction processes and materials, have imposed new ways of planning, designing and building. The need to take into account heterogeneous knowledge, in volumes impossible to be managed by a single entity, led to the need to work with teams in permanent interaction, integration and unison. These projects were renamed Collaborative Projects. To meet this demand, a number of alternatives have emerged, including the ‘Building Information Model’ (BIM), which initially stood out as a technology to facilitate project visibility, execution and communication. Its use was highlighted in the most varied areas of application, where it always showed significant contribution, even without fully meeting the purposes of knowledge expansion, as required by collaborative projects, as highlighted by Eastman et al. (2011). This research is inserted in this context and we propose to build a model to support the management of collaborative projects, using the constructivist performance evaluation as a mental model. The ProKnow-C (Knowledge Development Process - Constructivist) process was used for the bibliographic review and the MCDA-C (Multicriteria Decision Aid – Constructivist) methodology was used to construct the evaluation model, adjusted to the theoretical contributions in the steps of structuring and constructing of scales. As for the methodological procedures, the philosophical conception here is the constructivism, the methodological choice is qualitative and quantitative, and the strategy is the case study, which incorporates the theoretical contributions. Data collection and analysis is primary, through interviews, and secondary, through reading articles. The research results demonstrate the robustness of the proposed theoretical contributions, as well as the graphic and mathematical proposal to model the structuring and evaluation of the theme “Collaborative Project Management”. In empirical terms, the main contributions lie in highlighting the knowledge demands at each stage of collaborative projects, as well as the abstract aspect of ‘Building Information Modeling’ (BIM) as proposed by Eastman et al. (2011)
