As doenças respiratórias e a sua relação com a habitação da população de Macapá: estudo de caso do conjunto Macapaba

Abstract

This monograph aims to evaluate how the Macapaba Housing Set influences the health of its residents, with emphasis on the risks of obtaining or intensifying respiratory diseases. It also aims to present a housing proposal based on the concept of healthy housing to solve its problems. Initially, there is a conceptual approach to built environment, health and respiratory disease, healthy housing and comfort. Subsequently, in the second chapter, public housing policies are analyzed in Brazil, with a brief exposition about existing projects in the area of health, sanitation and healthy housing. Next, the housing complexes in the city of Macapá and the housing complex Macapaba are presented, discussing important points to evaluate if the environment in which the inhabitants of that area live influences in their health, specifically in the appearance of respiratory diseases. The research is exploratory, with a procedure of bibliographical research, documentary and field research, which was carried out through observation and interviews in the Macapaba Housing Set. In the end, as a result, we have identified environmental problems related to comfort, sanitation and without the ideal physical capacity to accommodate the residents of the complex, and the need arises to plan architectural and urban solutions suitable for them.
