Televisão e infância: uma abordagem semiótica da programação infantil

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to discuss how Semiotics, a theory proposed by Charles Sanders Peirce (1839-1914) contributes to thinking about children's television programming. It seeks, above all, to reflect on the plot of three children's programs (Clarêncio, the Optimist, Carinha de Anjo, and Esquadrão Bizarro) from the comparative case study, using Peircean signical knowledge, its relationship between history and triadic classifications. To do so, it was necessary to bring an overview of Semiotics, as well as its emergence, foundations, and applications. To analyze the semiotic relations that we propose to develop in this work, we chose to work with photograms of the chosen programs. In this sense, the photograms that permeate the analyses that will follow were defined because we think these are instruments that best embody and evidence the semiotic relations that we propose in this conclusion work.
