Resumo
Heart rate variability (HRV) analyzes the cardiac autonomic condition under normal and
pathological conditions, for example, in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The evolution of
T2DM increases the risk of cardiovascular autonomic changes. And the K-means technique
is key in innovation in diabetogenic health. The objective of this study was to stratify the
T2DMparameters, based on those of HRV using the K-means clustering technique in elderly
people living in Macapá, AP. This is a descriptive, cross-sectional study, with an exclusive
approach, with 74 women in a diabetes project. They are an anthropometric monitoring
system and acquisition from anthropometric RR intervals a heart rate monitor for HRV
analysis in Kubiossoftware that extracted the classical parameters in the time and frequency
domains. To determine the normality of the data distribution, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test
was performed, and the power of the test to estimate the sample power in the G*Power
software. The description of the sample profile included the measure of central tendency by
the mean, standard deviation and 95% confidence interval. A population-based
bootstrapping of 1000 samples. The volunteers had 65.4 ± 0.4 years old, 151.6 ± 0.8 cm,
66.1 ± 1.2 kg and 28.8 ± 0.5 km/m2
. The K-means clustering technique grouped RR
intervals with similar characteristics from the distance from the center of each cluster.
All statistical procedures were performed using SPSS and Orange Data Mining software,
with α = 0.05. The MRR biomarker (944.90 ± 18.49 ms) was the parameter that best met the
characteristics of homogeneity, linearity and normality of the data, standing out in relation to
the SDNN (60.9 ±7.0 ms), RMSSD (69.7 ± 9.4 ms), pNN50 (31.0 ± 2.6 %), LF (0.08 ±
0.003 Hz), HF (0.23 ± 0.007 Hz) and, HF/LF (1.66 ± 0.22). The K-analysis stratified the M analysis RR into three cardiovascular autonomic clusters in T2DM, demonstrating a
generation-generating increase in HRV.
