Cotidiano, sociabilidade e o significado de morar em uma ponte

Abstract

This paper proposes to discuss the meaning of living in a bridge. For this analysis - is a bridge in the district of Jesus of Nazareth in Macapa, in an attempt to understand the phenomenon of occupation in a certain place, which occurred from the 1970s, a period when many wetlands - areas of regionally called hangover - the city was invaded in order to be inhabited. For a better understanding of the subject matter, presents a theoretical balance of urban anthropology, from the Chicago School to pioneer a contemporary discussion. A description of the bridge is also important to understand what it means to live in it. To this end, the bridge is full of meanings that justify the daily life among its residents. For this reason, the work offers an analysis of social relations, forms of sociability, solidarity, organization, and other factors that characterize this space. Thus, discourses are some of the social areas before the bridge where negative opinions prevail on such sites.
