Resumo

The internship is a teaching-learning period that professes theoretical and practical intensive and continuous training under instructor supervision in health institutions related or not to the medical school, that persist to develop and improve the doctor-patient relationship critically and reflective. Currently the Ministries of Health and Education, along with graduation institutions, seek the prioritization of a training policy based on teachinglearning critic-reflexive of SUS with humanized medical training. Objectives: To identify the main doubts and anxieties of medical students from the beginning of medical internship and try to minimize them before the start of the internship. Methodology: a prospective, interventional, quantitative and qualitative research was conducted, performed in the medical school of UNIFAP with the medical class of 2012, composed of 19 students, by joining the TCLE, activities lasted for 8 hours and were composed of the ceremony reception, sensibilization workshop, questionnaires on the prior knowledge of the internship (pre-test), fulfillment of introductory-nature workshops on the main areas of performance in the internship (post-test), exhibition of the student’s spelling book, enforcement of a questionnaire to ascertain the knowledge acquired in the project, construction of the "Route of the Sun" (FAIMER-BRAZIL), closing ceremony and application of periodic questionnaires to assess each internship module offered. This study was passed the ethics committee of UNIFAP. Results: The project led to moments of relaxation and building sense of togetherness of the group during the ceremony of reception and construction of "Route of the Sun". The quantitative evaluation found by statistical analysis comparing the results of the pre-test and post-test questionnaires, an acquisition of significant knowledge about the internship. Regarding the qualitative judgment, was mentioned by the students that analyzed the results of "Route of the Sun" stress, anxiety and inexperience as the main obstacles to be faced in this transition period, and listed the needing of intensive study, discipline, focus and resilience as success factors to overcome the internship, and aim for goals as the approval in medical residency. As the evaluation of medical stages, it was suggested by the students to improve the physical structure of the modules performance venues, as well as the qualification of preceptorship and optimization of theoretical-nature activities for the improvement of education. Conclusion: Reiterate the importance of the Welcome Ceremony to value the experiences gained throughout the course and strengthen the students to face the internsgip, making them safer for practice and thus promote the qualification of the graduation in medicine. In addition, it is necessary to implement periodic evaluative-nature policies to measure the quality of education being offered to the students.
