Edificação em estilo brutalista numa época contemporânea: visão crítica sobre a liberdade de construir utilizando material e linguagem arquitetônica diferente dentro de um condomínio de alto padrão em Macapá

Abstract

The purpose of this monograph is to analyze the architectural style of a residence under construction within a high standard condominium, located on the JK highway, in the south zone of the city of Macapá-AP. The house attracts attention for having a stylistic language distinct from standard buildings built in private residential buildings in the Capital, as it has striking characteristics and a of clean expression, using simple, resistant and more economical materials. A identification and recognition of this style tends to involve hard work of research, since in it one can visualize a brutalist architecture, with minimalist, regional and contemporary aspects, whose structural precepts guarantee a casual and current look, by using materials and technologies advanced in the building, in such a way that it is perfectly shaped, without, however, leave the function aside. However, identifying and contextualizing it in contemporaneity only becomes possible when using comparative works of this style built in the North Region, as well as in other regions of the Brazil, when making references to the similar characteristics of Brutalist buildings and Regionalist with those of the residence that inspired this academic production, giving relevance to the material used and techniques to improve environmental comfort adjusted to the climate of Amapá, and establishing a critical view of the standard construction suggested to owners purchasing houses in condominiums closed, since this commercialization, in addition to inhibiting the creative aspect of professionals in the construction industry, also facilitates real estate speculation in the State.
