Investigações matemáticas e o ensino da geometria: uma proposta de intervenção em sala de aula com o uso do GeoGebra

Abstract

The present work seeks to present a proposal for the application of Mathematical Investigation in the teaching and learning process of Geometry, using the GeoGebra Software as an auxiliary tool in this journey. To this end, a literature review is presented to historically revisit the evolution of geometry, the implications of traditional mathematics teaching, as well as an examination of the different trends in mathematics education, focusing on Mathematical Research and the applicability of GeoGebra Software in the process. of meaningful construction of geometric concepts. Mathematical research, as advocated by Ponte, Brocardo and Oliveira (2013), provides students with the possibility of interacting with the mathematical object, creating hypotheses and testing conjectures and, in this way, building their own concepts in a pleasant and active way. . Finally, it is suggested, as a form of contribution, two investigative activities, using GeoGebra, exploring concepts of triangle areas and condition of existence (triangular inequality)
