Resumo
Many higher education institutions had to close their doors, and with that many students were unable to carry out their academic activities, in addition to the need for isolation to ensure safety in relation to their health and that of their families. Emergency remote teaching emerged as an alternative to face-to-face teaching, adopted by several Universities with the aim of mitigating the effects of the pandemic. But with the classes in remote format, it was possible to reveal several factors that Brazilian higher education was not prepared for, especially in the field of academic training on teaching/learning. Therefore, the objective of this work was to diagnose the impacts that covid-19 brought to the students of the chemistry course, in the Public Universities of Amapá, Federal University of Amapá (UNIFAP) and State University of Amapá (UEAP). For this, a questionnaire was used with 11 (eleven) questions sent via WhatsApp so that the students of the selected institutions could answer. With the data obtained, it can be seen that both UNIFAP and UEAP students feel ready for the job market, that is, to teach in the classroom and transform the lives of their future students, even having some difficulties during their training at an atypical time
