Do barro ao quadrinho: sequência didática para a criação de HQs como ferramenta pedagógica para a educação patrimonial na comunidade quilombola do Maruanum-AP

Abstract

This Master's Thesis in History Teaching investigates the potential of active methodologies in combating the risk of memory erasure and promoting the value of intangible cultural heritage. The study focuses on the community of Maruanum, Amapá, where the ancestral practice of pottery, maintained through the leadership of women potters, is facing a crisis in intergenerational transmission. The central research question addressed how a Pedagogical Pathway, structured in a Didactic Sequence (DS) for creating Comics (HQs), can contribute to valuing, strengthening identity, and transmitting this knowledge. The methodology adopted was Literature Review and Documentary Analysis, which sought to compensate for the lack of on-site research by deeply analyzing authors with recognized work on the topic of Louceiras do Maruanum, such as Ana Paula da Conceição Ferreira (2010) and Célia Souza da Costa (2015). The research resulted in the proposal of an Educational Product (EP): the Didactic Sequence (DS) itself, organized into three modules, aimed at guiding students step-by-step in creating their own comics. The conclusions show that the design of the EP is theoretically coherent and effective, as the comic acts as a powerful tool for cultural mediation, capable of promoting extensive interdisciplinarity (integrating History, Arts, and Natural Sciences) and empowering students. By encouraging young people to learn about the knowledge of the Louceiras and promoting the creation of accessible language, the EP fulfills one of the most important social functions of Heritage Education: enabling young students to recognize themselves as active agents of memory and guarantors of the sustainability of local heritage.
