Resumo

Hunger is a constantly debated problem, namely at the international level, organizations like FAO, UNICEF and the UN are looking for solutions to combat this evil that affects 795 million people. The tendency is that, due to the population increase and the loss of space and fertility of arable soil, the situation will worsen. Due to this, since 2000 Brazil, through the Ministry of Social Development and Fight against Hunger, set as a goal that each State has its Support Center for Urban and Peri-urban Agriculture (CAAUP). With use of agroecological-based technologies in idle urban and peri-urban spaces, this The project aims to propose a center for the municipality of Macapá, capital of Amapá. For such a proposal the methodology used was based on bibliographic and/or documentary references such as written press; audiovisual media (radio, films and television); cartographic material (maps and graphics); publications (books, theses, monographs, individual publications, researches, etc.) and data of official governmental and non-governmental bodies. This center will offer seeds, inputs, technical training and the possibility of income from the sale of surplus production families in serious food security situations, collaborating with the promotion of citizenship and human dignity. In addition, it promotes other local economic layers, such as fairs, retail and wholesale, circulation of capital in an economic circuit. A CAAUP looks beyond to improve, expand and guarantee food assistance, generate jobs and income; offer training for the production of quality food, with organic production and the incentive to natural food at low cost. Also greater inclusion and citizenship with the people with special needs and to the general population, with the increase in sensory garden. This garden allows not only greater insertion of the public in the center, but also promotes a source of income with tourism, attracting new consumers to the place, from which this in turn, they will be able to market and exchange new experiences with the city's public space. The aquaponic system, among the possible ones that could be chosen, is the one that promotes greater yield, with less environmental impact and more affordable, so that increases the chance of the effectiveness of the CAAUP – AP project, as well as the concern of a greater diversity and quantity of functions and uses of space (multiple uses of space), advocated by big names that have become references for development both architectural and urban, see, for example, Jane Jacobs, Kevin Lynch and Jan Gehl. Ideas of these architects are increasingly gaining strength in various architectural projects and urban planning. Having conceived this project with the choice of the architectural Regionalism, it was thought to choose a typology that could meet a specific aesthetic, functional, economic and cultural demand in order to meet a need in the city of proposals in tune with the local reality.
