Os reflexos sociais provocados pela produção do açaí no município de Santana

Abstract

The açaí, a belonging product the culture of the north of the country, became in the last decades an important product of the economy of that area. Like this the productive activity of the açaí, not just returned to the attendance of the demand local but also national and international. In that context the production of the açaí in the municipal district of Santana, belonging to the north of Brazil, becomes a center of the research, the one which in a comparative analysis of two agents of the productive chain of the açaí, berry pupl machine and industries, it seeks to identify which generates larger income of those activities and work places to the municipal district. The research is used of data supplied by government institutions, açaí beaters in the handicraft establishments of production of the açai, and of managers or person in charge of the processing of the açaí in the industries, the field works were accomplished in the periods of October from 2010 to March of 2011, visits happened in the interior of those establishments, through observations during the work file and application of questionnaires, seeking to identify the employment generation and income in the acai berry pupl machine and açaí factories in Santana's city, verifying in that way that both have your social relevance to the municipal district of Santana, although the small place establishments of production of the açaí generate larger number of work positions and they receive less attention on the part of the rulers.
